- Insufficient assets in the fund to support a property purchase
- Income of the fund not enough to service the loan repayments
- Banks are unlikely to loan the money required to support the purchase
- Not enough liquidity in the fund to meet the sole purpose test (SISA superannuation legislative requirement)
